This Privacy Policy describes how the CDL Prep mobile application ("the App", "we") handles information. The short version: the App works offline, requires no account, and we do not collect, sell, or share your personal data.
The App does not require registration and does not collect your name, email address, phone number, contacts, location, or any other personally identifying information. Your study activity — practice test answers, scores, and progress — is stored only on your device and is never transmitted to us.
Premium purchases are processed entirely by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play). We never see or store your payment details. To recognize your purchase across app launches and restore it on a new device, the App uses RevenueCat, a subscription-management service, which processes a randomized app-scoped identifier and purchase receipt data on our behalf. This identifier is not tied to your name or contact details. RevenueCat's handling of this data is described in its own privacy policy.
Because study data lives only on your device, deleting the App deletes that data. Purchase records are retained by Apple/Google and RevenueCat as required to keep your entitlement working; uninstalling the App does not cancel an active subscription — manage subscriptions in your App Store or Google Play account settings.
The App is a professional licensing study aid intended for adults preparing for a commercial driver's license and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
The App contains no third-party advertising and no behavioral analytics SDKs.
Depending on where you live (e.g., California, EU/EEA), you may have rights to access or delete personal data. Since we hold no personal data about you, these requests generally apply to RevenueCat's purchase records; contact us and we will help route the request.
We may update this policy as the App evolves. Material changes will be reflected on this page with an updated effective date.
